It really is Friday the 13th, and it sure seems like it. Only this time the villain is Hana Grace, not Freddy Kruger (whom I was terrified of as a child). After I blogged in the wee hours of the morning, I finally got Hana back to sleep around 3:00am. Ahhh! As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out. I don't know the exact times, but she would wake up and cry periodically, then at 4:30am it was full-blown wailing again. Maybe she's teething? I don't know. I pretty much give up on figuring out her reasoning. According to my family members, she's been teething for three months now. I still don't see any evidence of teeth in her mouth. Her gums don't feel or look any different to me. I just got in the recliner with her and we eventually fell back asleep. Apparently in all of the late-night confusion I closed the door to the bathroom in our room. That posed a huge problem for Joe. See, he keeps his alarm clock in there so that it's incredibly inconvenient for him to snooze, but when the door is shut he can't hear the alarm. If I were sleeping in the bedroom I probably would have heard it, but I was in the living room. He woke up 30 minutes late and it's all my fault. He had to open this morning too. I'm so sorry, Joe!
Then, to top it off, I broke a glass while emptying out the dishwasher and cut my hand (a very small cut) while cleaning it up. It's sure Friday the 13th, and it will be all day long! Today I'm packing for our trip to the Lake this weekend. I already have Hana packed, so the hard part is done! Joe not only opened, but he also closes today, so I am to pick him up from work this evening and we will head straight down from there like we did the last time. I have a sneaking suspicion the traffic might be a nightmare, then I can blog about "Friday The 13th: Nightmare on 635!"
Before I go I feel it necessary to apologize for calling Hana the villain. She's just a baby and it's not fair for me to compare her to Freddy! (Even if she grunts and growls like a little monster!)
Be on the lookout for new Hana pics on www.jennellensblog.blogspot.com!
